SWOE: Why So Serious???

So, with Mike313's 'Emerald Courage' , we enter the 'Second Stage', so to speak, of the SUperwomen of Eva' Fanverse: the DC version ( [link] ).

I have to say that the idea of Misato as a Green Lantern is pretty much a blow-me-away proposition (it is just one I would not have thought of, ever-and I'm safe to assue many people would not have done, either) . I hope in my heart of hearts that 'Emerald Courage' and all other future SWOE-fics are up to the standard of cool and good writing that have been so far.

THAT rant over, here's one of my own-as in, what can we make for Gendo? On the other SWOE-fics, he has been a pretty magnificent bastard-and in 'Tempest Aeterna', he has become the local Dr. Doom.

But in DC terms... well, let's go ahead and admit it, everybody can see him as the Lex Luthor equivalent from a mile away-and it fits, to be exact, but...

why not go for something a little else? I do not know which girl of Evangelion will have the honor of becoming Batgirl/woman (since, let's admit it right now, there MUST be a Bat-it is just not DC without one) , but I can see Gendo becoming the Joker in that story, if nothing else to go against the current.

My personal opinion about him becoming the Joker, though, would be to turn him into something alike to Heath Ledger's version of the Joker-a Magnificent Bastard to be damn sure, but one that likes to preach about chaos and that he likes to not follow a plan while he loudly proclaims there IS one-one that would bring Third Impact no longer because of Yui, but because it would be the ultimate 'Screw You' to society.

And the idea of Gendo Ikari wearing a Glasgow Smile is just too cool... I think.
