Random fanart for Mike313's DC Superwomen of Eva stories ( [link] ), with the Supergirl version of Asuka and the Flash version of Mari.
Now.... it's not that both series happen in the same 'verse (all of them have their independent continuity, especially regarding each of the girls and who's got powers and who doesn't).
But, still.... it is something of a running gag within the DC Universe (and out of it), the question of who's faster: Superman or Flash. While there's comic stories here and there that cement the fact that it's Flash, it still hasn't completely erased the fact that there's still at least seven comic book stories (most of them Golden and Silver Age), one chapter of the DCAU Superman Animated series and other things where the two of them had gone and raced each other for some reason (usually a charity).
And so, this was born. On one end, Mari Illustrious Makinami, the Flash. On the other, Asuka Langley Sohryu, Supergirl.
From one end of Japan to another (or around the whole planet and back to the starting line, whatever would be cooler). Most assuredly, bad guys will try to do bad things to hinder them along the way.
Who would win....?
