Misato: The Thundra

This idea I truly do not have a way of explaining. Recently I bought a graphic novel with several 'Giant-Size Hulk' stories and it came the one-shot 'Rolling Thunder', with an old Fantastic Four story and a new one that involved a fight between Thundra and the Hulk.

Thundra doesn't defeats him, and the Hulk doesn't defeats Thundra. The Xanatos Gambit Thundra's little Amazon faction did not involved defeating the Hulk, anyway-but to get some skin scrapings and unleash the resulting item onto the males.

One thing that 'Rolling Thunder' did managed to show is that Thundra is a leader-a combat-happy one, but a leader nevertheless, a 'Leave No Woman Behind And Wreak Bloody Retribution Onto The Offenders' kinda girl. and I liked her design on the one-shot and the current 'Hulk' arc by Frank Cho.

How would Misato become Thundra? There are two ideas that cross my mind, the first one being that Misato (or at least, *this* Misato) comes from the future like the real Thundra. The motives for her coming from the future would most likely remain unknown for a long time, but they would certainly involve Shinji and some future role-and eventually, she would come to live him enough to go against anything that tried to hurt him (NERV; SEELE, the UN, the Superwomen, her *own sisterhood*) regardless of the danger.

The second one I was thinking (and this one's a wild shot, atmittedly) is that, somehow, a rogue faction inside SEELE or NERV (the typical 'men are pigs and Third Impact will dispose of them quite well' kind of feminist faction) managed to create a sort of Super-Soldier serum with a wild cocktail of Angel DNA and other chemicals on it (it *has* to have Angel DNA-all of the other Superwomen have some of it in them) and decide to use the best warrior woman in NERV to test it-and so they turn our dear Major into their guinea pic-slash-avatar.

Bad thing is, Misato doesn't wants a thing with them-and now that she's empowered and can protect Shinji even better, it's looking like one gigantic backfire.

For the final record, I like Misato/Shinji pairings. Heck, I like most Evangelion pairings. This series is so crazy that I dig anything that gives these guys something that *resembles* happyness.
